I am writing in response to the feral cat problem at the mobile home park. I personally have had a feral colony for the past five years and have not had a new litter in that time. I have done the Trap/Neuter/Release program through the Gulf Coast Animal League.
I have multiple bird feeders, too, and the cats don't kill the birds because they are well fed.
Yes, they leave feces but it takes me five minutes to clean up my yard.
These cats don't ask to be dumped, they are in that predicament because of stupid humans who have no heart.
Never miss a local story.
To respond to people who think they should be destroyed, do they think we should gather up all the wild creatures and put them down? These poor homeless animals don't need to be put to death because they inconvenience you; they need your empathy and help.
