If there is anyone out there that can help me with my problem, I sure would appreciate a call.
Every summer for the past three years, we have had a terrible millipede problem. In early July when the weather warms, they come crawling out from everywhere.
My husband spent many mornings out in the garage and front sidewalk stomping on little worms. Our neighbors must think we have gone crazy. I have exhausted all efforts on the Internet to find a way to rid ourselves of these little creatures.
I have purchased three bags of Telstar at $60 a bag, but they seem to thrive on that. I have called and talked to the master gardeners and all they can tell us is to step on them.
Have you ever seen millions of millipedes on your driveway, sidewalks, front wall of your house, in the window sills and garage floor and walls?
We went away last August for a few days and when we returned our house was swarmed by millipedes. We had them inside the house as well. My daughter saw them before we got home and bought some kind of pesticide to spray (to no avail).
We removed all our mulch last summer and cleaned all the leaves and put down new top soil around the bushes. Then we left it for a month and put down new rubber mulch, but they kept coming back.
We have Lawn King do our lawn and I have called them and they have no answer. We had the pest control man spray the yard twice, even the walls of the house, but they kept coming.
If anyone has an answer for me, let me know. I have even tried organic solutions with Epson salts and hot peppers and laundry detergent. You may reach me at 941-795-5471.
