It looks like Herman Cain might be the Koch brothers’ “shill” in the Republican primary race.
Everyone is talking about how great Herman Cain is doing in the polls. They are wondering how he can be doing this well without a campaign organization in Iowa, New Hampshire, or any of the other key primary states. This is because, in reality, Cain’s organization is the billionaire Koch brothers’ organization.
To determine where any candidate really stands on the issues, just look at who he has on his staff. Herman Cain’s campaign manager is Mark Block, his early spokeswoman was Ellen Carmichael, and his economic advisor is Rich Lowrie. All these staffers and at least six others can be substantiated as having come directly from the payroll of Koch Enterprises.
We are told that Herman Cain came from the business world as the CEO of Godfather’s Pizza. But that was long ago. More recently, he has had a career as an inspirational speaker, and a spokesperson for the Koch brothers’ political action group, Americans for Prosperity.
Why would the Koch brothers be running a candidate for president in this election? Maybe they believe that they could put their own man in the White House. Talk about putting corporations in charge of our government!
Or maybe, putting their own candidate in the race allows the Koch brothers to permeate the campaigns of the other candidates with their own corporate goals and philosophy. It seems to be working.
