Once strongly anti-immigrant, Gov. Rick Scott now supports in-state tuition for students illegally brought into this country but victims of their parents law-breaking. Is that pivot due to a 2014 re-election campaign in need of Hispanic support?
Will the governor also pivot on Common Core State Standards as several conservative groups lobby for the rejection of these education benchmarks (altered here in Florida, but not to the support of opponents)? After all, that's his base, the tea party. We'll see how well Scott can dance during his campaign.
