ST. PETERSBURG -- After a chilly Monday morning, temperatures across the Bay area will warm up nicely.
According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, early-morning temperatures in the 40s and 30s in the northern Bay area counties will rise quickly today.
"It will be breezy at times but we will have a lot of sunshine," Marquez said. "A nice warming trend is expected this week. It will be cool again Tuesday but not as cold as early Monday."
The cold snap will be gone by this afternoon, when highs are expected to reach the mid 70s. Afternoon temperatures in the low 80s will return for Tuesday and Thursday.
There's no rain in the forecast until Thursday and the next cold front looks to be coming through early on Friday.
