BRADENTON -- Temperatures will stay hot throughout the week, continuing into the Independence Day holiday weekend, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service.
Forecasters expect a high of 93 on Monday. The record is 100, set in 1998, according to Rodney Wynn, a forecaster for the National Weather Service.
Wynn said a high pressure ridge sitting on top of the area will mean the hot temperatures from last week will continue into this week.
Conditions for today look similar to the conditions predicted for July 4: A high of 91 and a 30 percent chance of scattered storms.
