MANATEE — Two local agencies and a public charter school felt the sting of Gov. Rick Scott’s veto pen Monday.
The governor nixed $1 million for Sarasota’s Circus Arts Conservatory; $250,000 for the Sarasota Fairgrounds; and $50,000 for the Visible Men Academy, a charter school in Bradenton, according to Scott’s office.
They were among $68.9 million in vetoes out of a $71.1 billion state budget, according to information supplied by the governor's office.
