Fourth Avenue West between 10th and Old Mainstreets: The City of Bradenton approved a permit to pressure wash the downtown Verizon building at 1017 Fourth Ave. W. 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 12-19 and may include work on the weekends. Cones and caution tape will be placed within the parking spaces along the eastbound lane of this block. Vehicles are prohibited from parking in this block.
State Road 64: The left turn lane into the Rivers Edge Shopping Plaza will be closed through Aug. 19 due to landscaping work by the contractor.
Business US 41 between Eighth and 16th avenues west: A maintenance permit project. There will be intermittent southbound outside lane closures 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Aug. 9 for maintenance work on electric lines and replacement of poles.

US 41 from Sarasota County line to Braden Avenue: A maintenance contract project. There will be intermittent northbound lane closures 6 p.m.-11 a.m. through Aug. 26 for sidewalk repairs. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect possible delays. This closure will also impact pedestrian traffic, which will be diverted to the opposite side of the street.
State Road 70 from Tara Creek Boulevard to US 301: A maintenance contract project. Crews are working 8 p.m.-6 a.m. through Aug. 31 to remove and replace the roadway markings. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures throughout these areas and are advised to use caution traveling through the work zone.
US 41 from 73rd Street to I-275 ramp: A construction project. There will be northbound and southbound single lane closures 7 a.m.-6 p.m. in order to implement the traffic shifts while crews are replacing railroad tracks. Speed limit will be reduced to 50 mph, motorists are advised to use caution. Project completion is anticipated in the fall.
State Road 64 from west of Carlton Arms Boulevard to west of Interstate 75: Crews continue drainage improvements and paving operations from east of Carlton Arms Boulevard 2.5 miles to west of Interstate 75. Crews are also placing curb pads and sidewalk throughout the project corridor. Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for construction workers in the construction zone. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph through the construction zone. Crews may be performing work on Saturdays through the project completion, which is expected in the fall.
State Road 64and Interstate275: Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures 9 p.m.-6 a.m. through summer on State Road 64 as work crews continue to repair bridge substructures on the Anna Maria Island Bridge, and the northbound and southbound bridges of I-275 south of the Sunshine Skyway. Majority of repair work will be below bridge decks at water level. No lane closures will take place on I-275.
