Sixth Avenue West between Third and Sixth streets: The road is scheduled to be closed through July 3 for maintenance work on the railroad crossing. Traffic will be detoured at Ninth Street West. Motorists are encouraged to follow the established detour routes.
State Road 64 from west of Carlton Arms Boulevard to west of Interstate 75: Crews continue drainage improvements and paving operations from east of Carlton Arms Boulevard 2.5 miles to west of Interstate 75. Crews are also placing curb pads and sidewalk throughout the project corridor. Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for construction workers in the construction zone. The speed limit will be reduced from 50 mph to 45 mph through the construction zone. Crews may be performing work on Saturdays through the project completion, which is expected in the fall.
Cortez Road at 51st, 30th, and 26th streets west: Daytime and nighttime intermittent lane closures may occur 9 p.m. through 6:30 a.m. for an improvement project consisting of the replacement of drainage pipes and miscellaneous paving activities. Motorists should expect delays and be cautious of uneven pavement. The construction activities will take place at one intersection at a time. The speed limit is reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph in active work zones.
