Two BPD officers share November honor

BRADENTON — Two police officers will share the Bradenton Police Department’s Officer of the Month award for November.

Officers Yolanda Cox and Jason Taulbee were near unanimous choices for their life-saving measures Nov. 15 when they arrived at a residence to find an unresponsive man lying on the floor. Without hesitation, Cox began CPR and was assisted by Taulbee upon his arrival.

Fire department personnel arrived soon after and took over CPR. As the subject was taken from the residence by EMS, he showed no signs of life; however, EMS was able to revive him while en route to the hospital.

According to Manatee County EMS and the Bradenton Fire Department, the measures taken by Cox and Taulbee saved the man’s life.
