MANATEE — Authorities arrested a man deputies say fired a gun into a crowd of four men standing on the street, hitting one in the arm, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
Deputies Wednesday arrested Felize Falcon, 19, on an attempted murder charge in connection with a Nov. 17 shooting in the 900 block of 61st Avenue Terrace East, the sheriff’s report states.
Investigators say at about 4:30 p.m., Falcon fired for unknown reasons into a group of men standing in the street. One of the men later showed up at Manatee Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound. The 18-year-old man was later treated and released.
Mercedes stolen in burglary at Whitfield home
MANATEE — A woman reported having numerous items stolen from her Whitfield home during a burglary, including her Mercedes Benz automobile, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
At around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, the woman reported camera equipment worth around $5,000, a safe and a watch worth thousands of dollars stolen from her home in the 7600 block of Westmoreland Drive.
The woman said her 2004 Mercedes was also stolen during the burglary. Authorities are still searching for the vehicle, according to the report.
