MANATEE — A woman was taken to a local hospital after a man suspected of drunk driving struck her vehicle, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office..
David A. Clark, 54, of Anna Maria, was arrested on charges of DUI after he reportedly passed a sheriff's sergeant stopped at a traffic light on the west side in the 4800 block of State Road 64 East.
Clark’s vehicle side-swiped the sergeant’s vehicle at about 5:13 p.m., then proceeded to rear-end another car about 80 feet ahead, according to the sheriff's office.
The woman driving the second car that was hurt was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Clark and the sergeant were not injured.
