MANATEE — A 25-year-old man was charged for unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office arrest warrant and Web site. Joel DeJesus, of Palm, allegedly committed a sex act with the girl, 17, in his car Oct. 19. As he inappropriately touched her, the girl began to cry, according to the warrant. DeJesus told the girl not to cry or else people would know something happened, according to the warrant. As of Thursday night, he remained in jail on a $25,000 bond, according to the jail Web site.
