BRADENTON — Police arrested a Bradenton man who can be seen on surveillance video trashing a community pool in the city, according to a Bradenton Police Department report.

Ernie Johnathon Moore, 23, was arrested Wednesday on charges of criminal mischief and trespassing after police say he smashed lounge chairs and threw furniture into the Braden River Lakes community pool.

Police reports say Moore also clogged sinks and turned the water on full blast in the pool bathroom. He also threw trash including beer bottles, toilet paper and yard waste into the pool, the police report said.

Moore admitted to causing the damage, which is in excess of $1,000, but did not tell police why he did it, according to reports. He has since been released from the Manatee County jail on $1,250 bond.
