Number of graduating students: 30

Guest speaker: Coach Vinson L. Walden of IMG Basketball Academy

Shining moment: Families, faculty and students reflected the memory of the school’s founder and principal, Barbara Iannarelli, who unexpectedly passed away Sunday. A new scholarship was also started for the graduating class. Courtney Stocks was the first recipient of the Deanna Peterson Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship, which is in the amount of $500, honors Peterson, a young teacher, who passed away from breast cancer in 2007.

Best quote: “I learned not to take for granted anyone or anything because it moves really fast and you can’t get it back,” Class speaker Jenevieve Donovan on what she is taking away from her high school experience.

Interesting sight: Hearing students speak at the commencement about the school, principal and graduation with various foreign accents. Students speaking were from the Ukraine, England and the Bahamas showing some of the school’s international diversity.
