MANATEE -- A Bradenton woman was charged with attacking a taxi driver after she couldn't pay her fare, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Christine Ann Hicks, 48, was arrested at 12:08 p.m. Saturday in the 5300 block of 39th Street East.
According to a report, Hicks called Bruce's Taxi for transportation and was picked up by a female taxi driver. Deputies said the taxi driver took her to the bank to retrieve money but when they arrived, Hicks realized the bank was close.
According to a report, the driver was on the phone with her dispatcher on how to take care of ths situation when Hicks began to strike the back of the driver's seat and pulling her hair. The driver pulled into a gas station as the sheriff's office was notified. According to a report, that's when Hicks fled.

When deputies arrived, they arrested Hicks.
The total amount of the cab fare was $30. The victim was not injured, according to the sheriff's office.
Hicks was charged with larceny and battery, according to the sheriff's office website. She was being held in Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $620.
