MANATEE -- Two masked gunmen early Wednesday robbed a Wendy's restaurant in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
About 1 a.m., the two robbers burst through a rear door at the restaurant at 5411 14th St. W., and forced three employees to lie down while a fourth employee was taken to the office and made to open the safe and give them money, according to a news release.
The robbers then fled.
The robbers were described as standing between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and wearing all black clothing They also used black shirts to cover their faces, according to the report.

The report did not say whether investigators believe the hold-up is connected with a series of robberies earlier this month at other businesses in in Manatee County.
