GLADES -- An 88-year-old Bradenton man is in serious condition and a 78-year-old Bradenton woman sustained minor injuries in an accident at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Corrine French of Bradenton was driving a 2012 Hyundai Azera on U.S. 27 when she tried to turn left onto State Road 29, according ot FHP.
A 2008 Chrysler Aspen driven by a 33-year-old Lakeland man with a 52-year-old male passenger from Lakeland swerved right but collided with the Azer, according to FHP.
French was charged with violation of right of way by turning left in front of oncoming traffic, according to FHP.
The men in the Aspen sustained minor injuries and were not hospitalized.
French and her passenger were taken to Florida Hospital Lake Placid, according to FHP.
