MANATEE -- A weak cold front moving through the area will eventually take some of the stickiness out of the air.
"We'll see a shower chance with that and then we'll have slightly cooler and drier air that will come in for the next couple of days," Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker said Sunday.
"This is not a cold snap by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, temperatures will still be up above average, but cooler than they've been."
Temperatures reached the low to mid-80s Sunday, Linker said.
Never miss a local story.
"(Monday) looks like a good day with lots of sunshine and just a couple of clouds out there," he said. "The wind will be relatively light and variable. As we head into Tuesday to start St. Patrick's Day, we'll look for clear conditions to start the day and things a little cooler in the morning."
Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the upper 70s with no rain, according to Bay News 9's seven-day forecast. The next rain chance is Thursday.
