Deputies arrest 3 youths after reported Palmetto burgalry
PALMETTO -- Deputies arrested three 17-year-old boys Thursday morning after they were caught breaking into a home in Palmetto, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
At 9:11 a.m. Thursday, the three juveniles were seen breaking into the residence in the 500 block of 20th Street East while under surveillance, according to a news release. Confronted by a neighbor while inside the home, a report said the youths ran away.
Deputies set up and a perimeter and the teens were located. A short pursuit was witnessed by Palmetto residents on 17th Avenue West.
Witnesses positively identified all three suspects and they were arrested, the report said.
The three youths are being held at the juvenile detention facility in Bradenton.
