PARRISH -- A tractor trailer overturned at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday on State Road 62 in Parrish did not contain liquid fertilizer, contrary to earlier reports it was hauling 4,000 gallons of the substance.
Florida Highway Patrol trooper Kenn Watson reported the tanker overturned at the intersection of Saffold Road and State Road 62.
FHP trooper Frank Quintana said the truck driver said there was no liquid fertilizer in the truck. There was, however, a strong odor coming from the truck, which Quintana said was most likely residue.
"The driver backed up and the truck overturned," Quintana said pointing in the direction of the overturned truck. The right side of the white truck was partly hidden in tall grass. Its left door was wide open.

A Parrish Fire District truck and another truck were parked near Quintana's vehicle along S.R. 62.
No injuries were reported, according to Quintana.
"It sounded like it could be something where we're shutting everything down," Watson said late Wednesday evening. "That wasn't the case."
The 42-year-old male truck driver from Lake Placid was not charged immediately.
