MANATEE -- Deputies arrested a Bradenton man after he beat his pregnant girlfriend and a man who tried to intervene on Monday night, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Xzaibia Wooten, 25, was punching his pregnant 21-year-old girlfriend in the face and body multiple times in the 1700 block of 38th Avenue East at 9:09 p.m. Monday when a 28-year-old neighbor intervened, according to a release.
There was a brief struggle, and the neighbor eventually placed Wooten in a headlock and yelled for someone to call law enforcement, deputies said. Wooten then bit the neighbor in the left abdomen hard enough to leave a full imprint of his teeth.
Deputies arrived and arrested Wooten, but when they tried to place the suspect in the back of a patrol vehicle Wooten braced himself against the door panel while saying, "I'm not going to jail," according to deputies.

When deputies did get Wooten into the vehicle, the suspect then kicked the door window several times and broke both the window and the window frame, according to a release. Deputies estimate he caused about $1,000 in damage.
Both victims refused medical treatment.
Wooten was charged with aggravated domestic battery, battery, resisting without violence and felony criminal mischief.
