From the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office:
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance identifying the female who left puppies outside a local veterinarian's office.
A tech at Nokomis Veterinary Clinic found a Pampers box when she arrived at work on September 19. She opened the box and found puppies that surveillance video showed were left at the door 14 hours earlier. The puppies were large breed, possibly American bulldog and were about four weeks old.
Animal Services would like to speak to that person to learn more about the litter and the circumstances involved. The puppies are not available for adoption but are being well cared for. Anyone who believes they know this woman please call 941.861.9516. Again, please only call with identification information.
Never miss a local story.
The video is on the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office YouTube channel and can be viewed here.
It is important to note that there are a number of 24-hour animal care facilities so anyone who needs to relinquish pets for any reason should do so at one of these facilities if there is an immediate need after-hours.
