Showers and thunderstorms are likely to hit Bradenton on Friday afternoon and evening, once again threatening to hit local high school football games with downpours, according to the National Weather Services.
Forecasters said there is a 60 percent chance of rain during the day and evening, with the best chance for showers coming between 2 p.m. and 2 a.m. Saturday.
Whether the monsoon-like conditions that struck last Friday's games will be repeated was not clear.
The expected high temperature is 86, and the low Friday evening will be around 75.
Similar conditions are expected throughout the weekend, with the chance of showers and thunderstorms staying at 60 percent through Monday afternoon, according to the Weather Service.
