MANATEE -- A 29-year-old man has been charged with trying to steal a woman's cell phone after they got into an argument over a "parking issue" at a Bradenton gas station late Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
About 10:55 p.m.. Edward J. McGee and a 41-year-old woman got into an argument in the parking lot of the RaceTrac at 5410 14th St. W., according to a news release.
"During the argument, the victim took a picture of the suspect's license plate with her cell phone. This enraged the suspect who grabbed the victim's cell phone and attempted to pry it out of her hand," the report states.
The woman was able to hold on to her phone and called the sheriff's office.
