BRADENTON -- A man wanted since June after police said he shot another man on a Bradenton street, as been arrested, according to Bradenton police.
About 12:53 a.m. Thursday, K-9 Officer Jason Taulbee located and arrested Eugene Lynn Marshall in the 500 block of 19th Avenue West, according to a report.
Police had obtained an arrest warrant charging Marshall with attempted murder after detectives say he shot another man in the abdomen early in the morning of June 10, in the 2000 block of 13th Street West. Witnesses told the police they had been arguing about a drug deal gone bad.
At the time of the shooting, Marshall was out on bond on a May 16 possession of marijuana charge. At the time of his arrest, he was also charged with tampering with evidence but the State Attorney's Office chose to prosecute him only on possession.
Police said Marshall denied any involvement in the shooting.
Marshall, who faces charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and contempt of court, is being held without bond at the Manatee County jail.
