BRADENTON -- Police used a stun gun on a suspect and tied his legs together when he continually fought arrest Sunday afternoon, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of 19th Avenue West at 3:09 p.m. that turned out to be a burglary that involved battery and attempted to arrest Kevin J. Desantos, according to police.
Desantos became violent, and an officer shot him with a stun gun and handcuffed him, but he continued to try to fight officers, police said. Deputies with the Manatee Sheriff's Office then used a cord called a hobble to tie Desantos' legs together.
Desantos is being charged with burglary involving battery and violently resisting arrest.
