BRADENTON -- Bradenton police are looking for a man who tried to cash a counterfeit check at a grocery store. Police on Wednesday released a photograph of the man, as captured by a store security camera.
About 9 p.m., the man walked into the Publix store at 5001 S.R. 64 E. and tried to cash a check for $491.
"The male presented a driver license that matched the name on the check, however, the suspect cashing the check was clearly not the same person on the driver's license," police said in a news release.
When store employees refused to cash the check, the man left the store and drove off in a white Toyota Tundra.
