SARASOTA — Three suspects, including one who wore a clown mask, are being sought by Sarasota authorities in connection with an armed home invasion robbery.
At 11:10 p.m. Saturday, two victims were inside a residence in the 2400 block of Booker Avenue, Sarasota, when the suspects entered through the rear door, according to a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office report.
The victims were a 62-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man.
One suspect armed with a pistol ordered the male victim to the ground. The suspects then robbed the victims of their money, according to the report.
The suspects fled in an older model charcoal grey Lexus SUV headed east on 25th Street toward Tuttle Avenue. There were no injuries reported.
The suspects are described as a small built male wearing a clown mask and black gloves with yellow lining, a heavyset male with a low fade haircut armed with a silver semi-automatic pistol and a medium-built woman wearing blue khakis, a black sweater, tennis shoes and a white shirt over her head, according to the report.
