An armed man was taken into custody after he threatened to shoot his neighbors Friday night, Bradenton police say.
Officers were called to a residence in the 2200 block of 15th Avenue West around 10:39 p.m. after the man, armed with a gun, was "threatening others and acting erratically," a news release states.
The man had been in a dispute with neighbors, police say, when he pointed the firearm at them and then retreated back into his home.
Officers unsuccessfully tried to make contact with them. After obtaining a search warrant, the Bradenton Police SWAT team made entry into the home, where they found the man, 27-year-old Michael Blakey, and took him into custody without incident, the release states.
