BRADENTON -- Investigators are looking for more information about a safe found in the garage of a home where a man was arrested on a charge of violating probation and parole, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Officers on June 25 responded to the 4100 block of 42nd Street West and arrested Zach R. Lechner, according to a news release.
"Officers located a black 'Sentry' safe in the garage that had several pry marks on it. The safe appeared to have been recently tampered with, due to the considerable damage on the front," the release states.
Lechner,25, gave police "multiple inconsistent statements" about how the safe ended up in his garage and who it belonged to, police said.
Police said the safe is a black Sentry Model MS0100.
Lechner was released from the Manatee County jail, after posting a $5,000 bond on the probation violation charge.
