SARASOTA -- The Sarasota Police Department arrested a grocery store owner on Friday for possession of designer drugs, also known as spice or synthetic marijuana, according to a report.
As part of an investigation of sales of illegal drugs, Sarasota police obtained a search warrant for Snacks Grocery at 1950 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way for the store.
Officers arrested Rami Ahmed Abed Rabboh, 31, after they found 395 packages of designer drugs, $937, a firearm and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia hidden behind the counter of the store, according to the report.
Rabboh is charged with possession of a designer drug and possession of a controlled substance.
He was released from the Sarasota County jail after posting bonds totaling $1,620 bond.
