BRADENTON -- On May 23 an unidentified man tried to cash a counterfeit check at the Iberia Bank on State Road 64 East, according to police.
The check was for the amount of $650.76, which police believe was drawn from the account of a construction firm in Fort Myers. The same suspect tried to cash a counterfeit at an Iberia branch in Fort Myers, according to a report.
When the suspect tried to cash the checks he used a fraudulent Alabama driver's license and a "Netspend" Visa debit card with the same name, according to police.
