BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man may have a Pizza Hut employee to thank for getting his stolen belongings back.
A 55-year-old man called 911 at 11:12 p.m. Wednesday night to report a burglary at his home in Orlando Circle. As deputies came to respond to the call, an employee of the Pizza Hut in the 4800 block of 14th Street West called to report suspicious individuals running across 14th Street with a duffle bag, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.
Deputies went to the Pizza Hut to obtain a description and find out where the suspects had gone.
Police then flooded the Holiday Heights area and found five men who matched the employee's description, according to the report. Deputies found a black bag containing the victim's stolen property close to where they had stopped two suspects. All five individuals were questioned, and the police arrested three, who the report identifies as Malvine Johnson, 19, and two juveniles.
