A man is charged with operating a meth lab in Sarasota, according to authorities.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office responded Friday to a call about possible explosives in front of a residence in the 2700 block of Grand Cayman Street, according to a media release.
Deputies found materials used to make methamphetamine, "which can be highly volatile," according to the release. The Sarasota County Fire Department was called in to secure the area.
Following an investigation, Joshua M. Bradley, 37, was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine (28-200 grams), production of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
Bradley was already in jail after he was arrested Friday for an outstanding warrant, according to the sheriff's office. He remained in Sarasota County jail Saturday morning without bond.
