BRADENTON -- Bradenton police recovered seven .40-caliber shell casings at Norma Lloyd Parker after a nearby officer heard gunshots Tuesday evening, according to a report.
The officer was near the park, 924 24th St. E., when he heard several gunshots. Bradenton police also received two reports of a shooting, according to the report.
During a search, police recovered the shell casings, but no victim was located.
Coincidentally, the police department's watch tower, which it uses to surveil a particular area, is currently on the southside of the park. A police official acknowledged that the tower "obviously did not deter" the shooter.
