Relay For Life is back Saturday at G.T. Bray park for the annual overnight relay against cancer.
The family-oriented overnight event starts at 3 p.m., and participants can walk relay-style around the track and take part in fun activities off the track.
The Pittsburgh Pirates and 106.5 CTQ, who will be on hand from 4 to 8 p.m., are partnering in the event, too. So are Blake Medical Center and Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union.

n Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School sophomore clarinet player Morgan McSweeney received a superior rating at the Florida Band Master’s Association’s State Solo and Ensemble contest in Naples.

n Saint Joseph Catholic School’s Davis Roddenberry received an honorable mention in behavioral sciences at the Lockheed Martin Florida State Science and Engineering Fair in Lakeland. The sixth-grader’s project was on the visual perception differences between males and females.
