BRADENTON -- The Manatee County School District’s Parent Information Center is moving to a new location and changing its name during the weekend of Nov. 15-16, according to a news release.
The school board on Aug. 26 approve the sale of the current location, 234 Manatee Ave E., to Manatee Properties LLC for $390,000.
The new name will be the Office of Student Assignment, and the location will be 1400 First St., Palmetto, on the west side of Lincoln Middle School.
"The Office of Student Assignment is available to guide parents through the registration process in collaboration with their assigned district schools and to provide information about school choice options including charter schools, magnet schools, career academies and more," the release states.
