BRADENTON -- Bradenton Christian School named a new superintendent Wednesday.
Bradenton Christian named Dan Vande Pol as its newest superintendent, who started his career teaching 5th grade at Bradenton Christian in 1988, according to a release. He also taught and coached basketball players until 1996, when he moved to Iowa for another teaching position.
He moved back to Florida nine years ago to serve as an administrator at Lake Worth Christian School in Palm Beach County, where he also assumed the roles of assistant superintendent, admissions director, elementary principal and the international student coordinator, the release said.
Vande Pol received his undergraduate degree from Dordt College and his master's degree in school administration from California State University.
"Dan has a passion for Christ, for students, teachers and staff, and for helping raise up the next generation of Christian leaders," the release said.
Vande Pol has a wife, Amy, and four children: a senior at University of Florida, a high school sophomore, a 5th grader and a 2nd grader.
