Sarasota County detectives are investigating the death of a 31-year-old Englewood woman who appears to have overdosed in the parking lot of 101 N. Cattleman Rd.
Kristie L. Miranda, 31, was found in the parking lot that services the University Parkway Target store around 1:04 a.m. Wednesday by the Sarasota County Fire Department, where they unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate the victim.
According to the detectives’ preliminary investigation based on interviews with witnesses, it appears Miranda death may hvae been caused by an overdose, but the official cause of death will be determined by Medical Examiner’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to a press release.
