A Sarasota man arrested on June 24 on 15 counts of child pornography possession was charged with an additional 15 counts of possession Thursday morning, bringing the total charge count to 30, according to a Sarasota Police Department press release.
John M. Pyle, 59, possessed more than 10 images and videos of child pornography, which is a second-degree felony.
Detectives received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children three separate cyber tips, which included seven uploaded images of child pornography, according to the release.
A search warrant was then executed at Pyle’s apartment at Oasis on Osprey in Sarasota. According to the release, an initial forensic search of a computer and cell phone in his apartment found two bondage images, 15 images of sexual conduct and 31 images of child pornography with no sexual conduct.
