MANATEE -- Two gas riot grenades were found Monday when a trailer in a mobile home park was being cleared out, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
On Monday when the two M7A3 CS gas riot grenades, commonly used for riot control, were found inside a mobile home in Trailer Estates, 1903 69th Ave. W., Bradenton, they were brought to the sheriff's office operation center, 600 301 Blvd. W. Bradenton, according to an incident report.
The bomb squad was notified and the grenades were received by a sheriff's office lieutenant in the interim.
The grenades reportedly still had the pins and spoons intact. They were determined to be safe to be transported and placed in the hazmat locker at the sheriff's bomb office to await destruction.
