MANATEE -- A woman was arrested Wednesday evening for throwing a plate of spaghetti at her boyfriend, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Melissa Trickle has been dating her boyfriend for several years and they have lived together for the past year, according to an arrest report. The two got into an argument at 7:27 p.m. in their home in the 1500 block of 58th Avenue Drive West.
It turned physical when her boyfriend tried to leave the living room and Trickle approached him, deputies said. He pushed her to the ground because he believed she was attacking him and went into the kitchen. Trickle followed him into the kitchen and threw a plate of spaghetti at him, and the plate struck his arm.
Trickle told deputies the plate slipped from her hand.
Trickle was charged with domestic battery, and is being held without bond at the Manatee County jail.
