MANATEE -- A man was arrested Tuesday when deputies found he had a crack pipe while walking into the Manatee County Judicial Center, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Jeremy Triplett, 31, was walking into the judicial center, 1050 Manatee Ave. W., when deputies found a crack pipe rolled up in white tissue paper inside a cigarette pack, according to an arrest report.
The Manatee County Judicial Center is a secured building and the public is subject to search before entering. The deputy found the crack pipe during a physical search and said he recognized it immediately based on his "training and experience."
Triplett was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released Wednesday on $500 bond. He has a long list of past criminal charges and convictions, including for burglary, dealing in stolen property, theft and drug possession.
