SARASOTA — The driver of a vehicle southbound on the right shoulder of Interstate 75 in Sarasota County swerved to re-enter traffic, resulting in a hit-and-run accident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident at 11:45 p.m. Saturday at mile marker 180 in Sarasota County involved a 2013 Toyota Camry sustaining damage to the front. The hit-and-run vehicle exited on County Road 779 with rear-end damage, according to FHP.
The 45-year-old Port Charlotte woman driving the Camry was not injured.
