PALMETTO -- A man was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to the Palmetto Police Department.
Ramon Flores-Flores, 38, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at Coin Laundry, 1306 Eighth Ave. W., Palmetto. According to the victims, who own the laundromat, an intoxicated Flores-Flores entered and refused to leave when asked.
According to a report, the victims asked several more times and when one informed Flores-Flores that she was calling the police, he became enraged and grabbed a hammer that was on a nearby table and began to swing it at them. During the struggle, police said one victim was struck in the forehead just above the eye and the other was struck in the hand, causing a laceration to her finger.
Flores-Flores was being held in Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $3,000, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office website.
