BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and trespassing after warning, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Armel Robinson, 39, was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday outside Little County Store, 825 15th St. E., Bradenton. According to a report, an officer noticed Robinson loitering outside the store and saw what he believed was a "hand to hand narcotics transaction" with an unknown male. When approached by the officer, Robinson refused to give his name.
According to a report, the officer learned that Robinson had been trespassed from the property last January, and placed him in handcuffs. The officer reported that Robinson appeared as though he would take flight or harm him and requested help.
As officers tried to search Robinson, a report states that he was verbally abusive towards them. According to a report, he kicked two officers when they tried to search his pants. He struck one of the officers in the left leg. He refused to let officers search him.

Robinson was being held in Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $6,000, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office website.
