MANATEE -- A Bradenton woman was charged with battery and battery on a person over 65 Sunday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Leona M. Watts, 54, was arrested at 11:32 p.m. in the 1600 block of 51st Avenue East, Bradenton. According to a report, Watts and her two neighbors, who are both 67 years old, were drinking at their trailer. When the two victims decided to call it a night and asked her to leave their trailer, Watts refused.
Deputies said she stood in the doorway after being asked multiple times to leave and yelled "the only way I'm leaving this place is on a stretcher!"
According to a report, the male victim tried to shoo Watts out with his crutches, but Watts stood her ground and told him to get out of her face. Police said she fell forward and then turned around and spit in the victim's face. Watts then turned her attention to the female victim, grabbed her by the throat and hit her on the left side of the face with her right fist. The victim fell backwards, according to a report.
Police said Watts was so intoxicated that she tripped in the driveway, causing injuries to her right arm and right big toe.
Watts was being held in Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $2,000, according to the sheriff's website.
