Bradenton woman's vehicle rear-ends FHP trooper
BRADENTON -- A 20-year-old Bradenton woman hit a Florida Highway Patrol trooper's vehicle Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At 9:33 p.m. Friday, the marked trooper vehicle was heading west on Cortez Road and had stopped in the inside lane at the red light at 26th Street West, according to a news release.
The woman was heading west in a 2014 Ford Explorer and was pulling up behind the trooper vehicle, but didn't stop in time, rear-ending the trooper, the report said.
The driver was cited for careless driving.
