MANATEE -- A Bradenton man was charged with burglary with assault Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Randy A. Blumanstock, 47, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. According to a report, deputies responded to a home-invasion call in the 2000 block of Reserve Place in Bradenton. The victim who lived in the house told deputies that he heard the front door open and saw Blumanstock enter without permission. The house was unsecured, according to the report.
The victim said Blumanstock pushed him against a wall and punched him in the chest. According to the deputies, Blumanstock was upset because of $500 that he said his girlfiend owed him, so he went to the house to get the money. The victim told him he didn't have money and, according to deputies, Blumanstock took the victim's cell phone, a digital camera and a mini stereo speaker. He then fled, according to the report.
Blumanstock told deputies that he had entered the home without permission and that he was with another man, whose identification has yet to be determined. He denied that he hit the victim, according to a report.
